The Ipswich Orchestral Society is always pleased to welcome new members. Everyone is welcome but we ask that you be at least Associated Board grade 7 if you are a string player, and grade 8 if woodwind or brass. We are particularly keen to recruit more viola players at the moment. Membership is subject to the approval of our conductor.

The costs involved in running the orchestra are not insignificant. For example, we need to pay for soloists, hire of performance and rehearsal venues, and music hire. Sponsorship plays an important part in helping to secure our future and the ability to hire the top-class soloists that our audiences love to hear.
